We have recently completed a comprehensive WC refurbishment project within the Eurotunnel site, enhancing the facilities for all those using the incoming freight lanes. Having staff vetted specifically for this site allows for an easier approach to planning these works and for movements within a highly controlled area.
This project involved a full strip-out and refurbishment of the existing freight driver’s toilet block to provide modern, gender-neutral facilities. Our scope of work included:
- Plumbing alterations to accommodate the new layout.
- Installation of a suspended plasterboard ceiling for a sleek and contemporary finish.
- New vinyl floor coverings, ensuring durability, ease of cleaning and future maintenance.
- A refreshed lobby area, creating a welcoming and modern entrance.
- Installation of new cubicles and all-new sanitaryware, blending modern day functionality with a high-quality aesthetic look and feel.
- Specialist door wraps to blend some of the existing doors with the new editions.
- Electrical and plumbing works.
To ensure the project met Eurotunnel’s standards and vision, we collaborated closely with Holloway Studio in Hythe, working in tandem with their creative team. Our partnership extended to Eurotunnel’s project managers, fostering a seamless process from concept to completion.
Through planning, skilled craftsmanship, and strong communication, we delivered a high-specification facility that enhances the user experience for Eurotunnel’s clients while aligning with modern design principles.
Just one of many projects that we have delivered to our client over the past few months, having a team onsite at the Cheriton site allows us to react quickly to any demands or minor works that are required on site, our staff have become well respected throughout this extensive facility for their attitude to these projects and developing further relationships with the client.
